To Change the Default Homepage
Choose Tools from the menu bar and then select Internet Options. Press ALT if you do not see your menu bar. You may also use the "Gear Icon" in the top right hand corner of your window.
Type the address of the homepage you wish to use in the text box on the screen or click the "use default" button.
To Change the Default Search Engine
Choose Tools from the menu bar and then select Manage Add-ons. Press ALT if you do not see your menu bar. You may also use the "Gear Icon" in the top right hand corner of your window.
Select "search providers" on the left panel under "add-on types"
Choose the search provider that you would like to be the default and then click the "set as default" button.
To Reset Tab Behavior
Choose Tools from the menu bar and then select Internet Options. Press ALT if you do not see your menu bar. You may also use the "Gear Icon" in the top right hand corner of your window.
Click on the "settings" button in the "tabs" sections of the screen.
Choose the desired behavior from the drop down list or click the "restore defaults" button.
